About tasks

Introduction

A task represents a specific action or set of actions that contribute to the overall workflow goal. Tasks are structured to maintain clarity and accountability, guiding admins through each process step from initiation to completion. By leveraging tasks’ capabilities, Spendflo empowers organizations to streamline procurement operations, optimize resource allocation, and achieve greater operational effectiveness.

Each step of a workflow is represented as a task, and all the functions in the workflow must be completed to complete the workflow unless a task is ignored due to conditions specified on the task's path.

A task within Spendflo’s platform comprises the following components -

Overview

The overview section comprises primary details of the task, such as the task name, type of task, task owner, description for detail, and the SLA for the task completion.

Form

The Form tab follows the overview section. It is ideally created for the requesters. Forms capture essential information, ensuring accuracy and completeness for efficient workflow task processing. The customizable fields within the forms allow admins to create, edit, and manage them based on the organization's needs.

Checklists

The checklists are ideally created for the approvers within the workflow. Once the fields are defined and the custom form is built, admins can create checklists within the workflows to detail the list of items and tasks to be completed, ensuring that all the steps and actions have been completed without being overlooked.
